Feeling Hopeless? Get Out and Get Moving.

I feel exhausted, frustrated, and just plain mad. Not because of what’s happening in the country—though that’s terrifying—but how it’s so easy for our side to feel like we’ve lost.

The negativity, the doom-and-gloom, the “what’s the point?” attitude—it’s draining.

But we knew this was coming. Project 2025 wasn’t a secret. And yeah, it’s scary. But that’s exactly why we can’t afford to give up. We are two weeks into this mess. Way yonder too early to throw in the towel.

We’ve Fought Worse and Won

Our democracy has been through hell before, and we made it through. We survived a Civil War. We survived riots, assassinations, economic collapse, and wars at home and abroad. And for those of us who remember 1968—well, you know just how terrifying that year was.

We didn’t back down then, and we’re not about to back down now.

This Administration Is Evil—But Also Incompetent

Let’s be real: Felon47’s administration is a disaster. But they’re also a hot mess.

The courts are stepping up. Smart, dedicated lawyers are fighting every day to block their worst ideas. And we can back them up.

Our Non-Fiction Book Club – Join us at HQ every second Thursday from 2-4 PM for great reads and even better conversation!

So What Can We Do?

Sitting in fear doesn’t help. Action does. Here’s what you can do right now:

  • Write letters—to representatives, newspapers, and voters.

  • Make phone calls—mobilize, push back, get out the vote.

  • Show up—at protests, meetings, and Democratic HQ.

  • Volunteer—even a little bit makes a difference.

Our folks at HQ are working hard to give us things to do. Take them up on it. Pick something. Do it.

Our Bring Your Own Lunch

Grab your lunch and meet us at HQ every Monday from 12-2 PM for good company and great discussions!

Get Out of the Doom Loop

If you’re drowning in the negativity, log off. Facebook and X? Skip ‘em. The 24/7 news cycle? Turn it off.

Instead, get moving. Go outside. Call a friend. Drop by HQ. Like Mr. Rogers said, “Look for the helpers.” We are not alone in this fight.

We’ve Won Before. We Can Win Again.

I won’t lie—I’m scared too. But I refuse to let fear paralyze me. I refuse to let the bastards win.

We have power. Protest ended the Vietnam War. It won civil rights and voting rights. It gave us marriage equality. It held cops accountable for murdering George Floyd. When we show up, we change the world.

I’m not giving up on my country. Are you?

Let’s fight. Together.
