A Letter from the Chair

We all have our reasons for showing up.

For some of us, it’s the chaos coming out of Washington. For others, it’s the cruelty flowing out of Nashville — aimed at our immigrant neighbors, our queer friends, our public schools, our unions, our values.
Sometimes, it’s just the quiet frustration of trying to do good in a place where doing good isn’t easy.

Whatever brought you here — you’re not alone.

Being a Democrat in East Tennessee often feels like stacking grains of sand on our side of the scale while the other side throws down boulders. But at our 2025 Reorganization Convention, we felt something shift. We felt the weight of community — and the spark of momentum.

We’re proud to introduce our 2025–2027 Executive Committee: a team of Democrats who aren’t just ready to speak up — they’re ready to organize, build, and lead in every corner of Anderson County.
Not just to be heard — but to be felt.
