Running for office is a commitment. It demands personal investments of both time and resources and often requires reaching out to family and friends for support. The journey can be demanding, but the rewards are immense. Not only will you have the opportunity to bring positive change into your own life, but you'll also have the chance to improve the lives of your fellow community members as you represent them.
At the Anderson County Democratic Party, we have a dedicated Political Committee in place to assist you throughout your journey. From helping you identify the right office for your aspirations to guiding you in assembling an effective campaign team, we're here to support you. We also facilitate connections with resources available through the Tennessee Democratic Party and partner organizations. Understanding Support from the County Party
Joining your local Democratic Party is an excellent way to bolster your campaign's prospects. It's crucial to have a clear understanding of what support you can expect from us and what is beyond our scope. This clarity will guide your decisions regarding your campaign.
The Anderson County Democratic Party provides two levels of support for local, non-partisan races, open to both Party and Non-Party members. If you're considering a run, we're more than happy to discuss these support levels with you.
For state and federal races, any Democratic candidate in the general election enjoys the full support and resources of the county party. While we must maintain neutrality during partisan primaries, we strive to ensure equal exposure for all candidates among our members.
We look forward to helping you embark on your journey towards public office and making a positive impact in Anderson County.
